Prof. Amaury TILMANT, ing., PhD
Amaury is Full Professor at the department of civil and water engineering at Laval University, Québec, Canada. He is an expert in water resources and energy systems analysis with considerable experience in Europe, the Middle-East, Africa, South and North America. Before joining Laval University, he worked at Tractebel Engineering, UNESCO-IHE and ETH-Zurich.
Laurent BRUCKMANNN, PhD
Laurent is a research fellow working on the GoNEXUS project. He holds a PhD in Geography from University Paris Diderot. His research focuses on water-society interactions under environmental changes in Africa, especially in the Senegal River valley. Before joining Laval University he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Liège University (Belgium) and at French National Research Institute for Sustainable Development (IRD).
Hamidreza KHORASANI, MSc
Hamidreza holds an M.Sc. degree in Water Resources Management and Engineering from the University of Tehran. He is currently a Ph.D. student at Laval University. His main research interests include water-energy-food nexus modeling, hydro-economic modeling, climate change, and remote sensing. Hamidreza carries out his research in the Senegal River basin
Vahid ESPANMANESH, MSc
Vahid holds an M.Sc. degree in civil engineering from the University of Tehran. He worked as an associate researcher at the University of Tehran before joining Laval University. He is currently doing a PhD thesis on the management of complex water resources systems taking into account the long-term persistence of streamflow processes. His research interests include water resources systems analysis, mathematical programming, climate change and hydrological modelling. Vahid carries out his research in the Senegal River basin.
Caio SANT’ANNA, MSc
Caio holds a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro. He graduated with a master degree in Engineering from Ecole des Mines de Saint-Etienne and INSA Lyon. The primary focus of his research is the adaptation of water resources systems to climate change. Caio is specialized in reservoir operations, decision-making under uncertainty, and climate change. He is currently a member of Québec’s Cluster on Water Management Research (Centreau) and the Intersectoral Flood Network of Quebec (RIISQ).
Imed ELMISSAOUI, MSc
Étienne GUILPART, PhD
Étienne is a postdoctoral researcher working on climate change. He got a PhD in climatology and environmental sciences from Université de Paris-Saclay. His work focuses on the production of hydrologic projections and their use for decision-making in the water sector. Étienne carries out his research in the Senegal River basin and in the Artibonite River basin in Haïti.
